TVCS will remain Online Only after January 15th.

The decision to remain online only after January 15th was made in light of current case numbers in ADA county and positive cases of Covid amongst students and staff.

TVCS plans to bring students back on campus as soon as possible.

TVCS continues to use the following to guide decisions about instruction during the pandemic:

  • Follow CDH and CDC guidance
  • Follow our Approved Covid-19 Operations Plan
  • Make decisions based on trusted sources of information
  • Communicate transparently and openly
  • Involve parents/staff and seeking their input

In early January, cases of Covid-19 were at approximately 51 cases per 100,000, two and a half times higher than the 20 cases per 100,000 that put school districts in the "red" risk category. Recent trends in cases are going up in early January.  You can see up to date case rates by county here.

When surveying families, TVCS identified that there has been an increase in positive cases over the last week.   This local impact is a large part of the decision to remain online only.

The TVCS School Board and Administration will continue to monitor case numbers weekly and begin to bring students back on to campus when cases return to a manageable number.

More information about this decision can be found in this video.
